Rob Cristiano is a Brooklyn-born independent filmmaker. His feature film producing credits include festival favorites DOWN WITH THE KING (Cannes Film Festival - L'Acid Selection '21), THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST (Winner - Grand Jury Prize - Sundance '18), BOB AND THE TREES (Sundance '15, Winner - Crystal Globe - Karlovy Vary Int'l Film Fest '15), KEEP THE CHANGE (Winner - Best US Narrative Film - Tribeca Film Festival '17, Winner - Critics' Award, Karlovy Vary Int'l Film Festival '17), MY FIRST KISS AND THE PEOPLE INVOLVED (Los Angeles Film Festival '16, Audience Prize - New Orleans Film Festival '16), and STAY AWAKE (Berlinale - Generation 14plus Feature '22).

In recent years, Cristiano produced the award-winning Broadway-themed web series UNDERSTUDIES, an episodic VR pilot and more than a dozen acclaimed short films that have screened at over one hundred film festivals in twenty different countries. They include BLUE BOY (Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Fest), PENNY DREADFUL (Audience Prize - Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Fest, Best of Fest - LA Comedy Short Film Fest, National Board of Review Student Grant), MELON HEAD (Atlanta Film Festival, Short of the Week), and GOODBYE BLUE SKY (Short of the Week). His chess-themed short film, THE KING'S PAWN, received a production grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and was honored by Vimeo as a Staff Pick.

Cristiano's experience includes extensive location scouting and management work on films like: THE ADDERALL DIARIES (starring James Franco), THREE GENERATIONS (starring Naomi Watts), BARRY (starring Devon Terrell), THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS (starring Ben Mendelsohn), PUZZLE (starring Kelly MacDonald), SOMEONE GREAT (starring Gina Rodriguez), THE FAREWELL (starring Awkwafina) and THE STAND-IN (starring Drew Barrymore).

Prior to receiving his MFA in Producing from the Columbia University Film Program, Cristiano spent five years at MTV, where he produced DVDs of the most successful franchises in the history of the channel, including BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD, AEON FLUX, THE STATE, JACKASS, and NITRO CIRCUS. His postproduction experience includes time as an assistant editor for numerous TV shows, as well as the feature length documentary THE REDEMPTION OF GENERAL BUTT-NAKED (Winner - Best Cinematography at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival).

In 2013, the Producer’s Guild of America presented Cristiano with the prestigious Debra Hill Fellowship for emerging producers. He has participated in and taken projects through the Making Waves producer's workshop at the Berlinale, and Tribeca Film Institute's Industry Program. Cristiano is a two-time Film Independent Fellow (Fast Track '18 and Producing Lab '23), and also an alum of the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Trans-Atlantic Partners co-production lab. He is currently developing several feature film projects under his Inside Voices production banner. Over the years, Cristiano has produced commercial work at top companies including Vice, M ss ng P eces, Ghost Robot, and Pereira O'Dell / BarrelHouse, and he has recently co-founded the commercial production company, Living Legend.

Post-Production Background:
Cristiano has over 7 years of experience on Avid (Adrenaline, Media Composer, Symphony), and three years of experience with Final Cut Pro. At MTV, he cut many promos, trailers and DVD special features (interviews, commentary, montages, etc). Cristiano has also freelanced as an editor at Nickelodeon, Part2Pictures, and Bunker.
